We are blessed with many endings and beginnings in our calendar. Each gives us an opportunity to reflect on what we want to hold onto and what we can start anew. As you know, we just celebrated Rosh Hashanah, marking the start of the new year. We will transition out of 2020 in a few months. Stuck in between Rosh Hashanah and the secular new year is another ending and beginning, Simchat Torah. Yet, one of the beautiful aspects of Simchat Torah is we finish reading the Torah and then jump right back in. We can both simultaneously say goodbye to the previous cycle while continuing to study Torah. This weekend we stand with one foot at the end of Deuteronomy and one foot in the beginning of Genesis.
Where in your life do you feel like you are straddling two positions? How will you move forward?
