Facilities Coordinator

We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join our collaborative team! The Facilities Coordinator role will provide a variety of facility support functions and duties including but not limited to; room, meeting and event setup, minor maintenance repairs and maintaining building organization and cleanliness. The Facilities Coordinator will work with a variety of vendors and stakeholders to ensure both campuses are well stocked, safe, clean and organized. The Facilities Coordinator will oversee Event Staff for setup and day of events.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Conducts the physical movement of furniture, equipment, boxes and materials as needed for meeting, event and classroom setup.
  • Assists with minor facilities needs including hanging up pictures and white boards, painting, restocking restrooms and common paper goods.
  • Oversee events ensuring setup is correct, accommodating last minute requests and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain building cleanliness and organization.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and clean work environment by regularly monitoring grounds for safety hazards and trash.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time; constant lifting up to 75lbs, 200lbs team lift; frequent kneeling, pushing, lifting.
  • Regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.

Education:

  • High-school diploma required.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience within customer service.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining your cool during high stress situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $19.00 /hour

Early Childhood Teachers

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining control of and accounting for the whereabouts and safety of the children in care and ensuring children depart with authorized person.

  • Prepares, arranges and maintains program environment areas and materials based on observed needs of individual children ranging in age from 4 weeks to 5 years using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold.

Modern Hebrew Specialists and Teachers needed for a new program! 

Temple De Hirsch Sinai is looking for a variety of Modern Hebrew speakers of all levels to join us in planning and executing a new type of Hebrew learning.

We are looking to hire teachers late spring- fall of 2019. We are looking for K-2nd grade specialists, as well as 3-6th grade teachers during the week and specialists on the weekends.

We are looking for people who love to be around kids and engage them in an interactive way to gain appreciation of the Hebrew language, learn basic spoken phrases, be able to respond to basic instructions, and incorporate basic Jewish vocabulary/Hebrew vocabulary into their lives.

Our program is based on the Hebrew Through Movement Curriculum.

Job openings are on Sunday mornings, Tuesday-Thursday evenings on both our Bellevue and Seattle campuses.

Our philosophy: Guide students in an exploration of specific topics through focused choices allowing us to follow their lead in creating meaningful Jewish learning experiences. Neurodiversity Support Teachers 

We are seeking a one on one for a few students who need extra support in the classroom on Sunday morning during religious school as well as during the week for our evening Hebrew programs to support a few of our students in their grade level classrooms.

We are also looking for someone to work with our teachers to support their abilities to work with students in our settings. Teaching professional development sessions as well as one on one coaching with teachers.

Responsibilities:
-Conduct IEP intakes via phone calls with parents at start of year.
-Translate outcomes from parent phone calls into accessible, useful information and strategies for classroom teachers.
-Attend all classes that the student attends
-Provide 1-on-1 support for the student to participate in their classes
-Communicate with the teacher throughout the course of the year

Potential for additional income through:
-Rotate through our 3rd – 6th grade classrooms to support teachers in creating inclusive learning environments.
-Meet regularly with teachers to provide techniques and feedback on how to better support students with special education needs
-Ongoing communication with parents and teachers as needs change and emerge

Qualifications:
-Background & experience in special education; Jewish environment preferred
-Familiarity with different learning needs
-Experience reading IEPs and implementing and supervising strategies for an inclusive religious school classroom
-Excellent communication and organization skills

We are looking for candidates to be present for the following days and times from the end of September through the beginning of May (typical school breaks are included).

Wednesday 4:30-6pm (Bellevue)
Sunday 9-12noon (Bellevue)
Potential for additional hours on Tuesday evenings from 4:30-6pm.

Additional preparation and communications time will be compensated.
