Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a weekend of events at Temple De Hirsch Sinai’s Seattle Campus and at First African Methodist Episcopal (FAME) Church.
Program schedule:
Friday, January 13
6 PM Worship service at Temple De Hirsch Sinai — Seattle Campus
feat. Pastor Carey Anderson and the FAME Gospel Choir
Join us before services for refreshments starting at 5 PM, and stay for dessert at 7:15 PM.
We’ll also be using this opportunity to raise awareness of two local social services: Jewish Family Service and Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. On Friday night, we’ll be collecting coats for JFS’s Coat Drive for Resettled Refugees.
Sunday, January 15
11 AM Worship service at FAME

Monday, January 16
11 AM City-wide MLK Day March & Rally
The Temple and FAME communities are invited to attend Seattle’s MLK March & Rally at Garfield High School. Visit the Seattle MLK Jr. Coalition for more details.

Do I need to register for MLK Weekend events?
No registration required – all worship services are free and open to the Temple and FAME communities.
Will services be streamed online?
Yes! Shabbat services at TDHS will be streamed on our streaming page and on Facebook; Sunday services at FAME will be streamed on Facebook.
