Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a weekend of events at Temple De Hirsch Sinai’s Seattle Campus and at First African Methodist Episcopal (FAME) Church.
Our theme for this year is “Faith in the Darkness: Cultivating Hope in Troubled Times.” Look forward to sermons from Rabbi Daniel Weiner and Pastor Carey Anderson, and opportunities to gather and celebrate. All events are free and open to the community; see below for additional program details.

11:00 AM Volunteer with FAME and TDHS to prepare a meal for our local soup kitchen, Operation Nightwatch.

Sound Foundations NW – 5 S Nevada St, Seattle, WA 98134
8:30 AM TDHS and FAME communities are invited to participate in an MLK Day Mitzvah Project (volunteer opportunity) to build a Tiny Home at Sound Foundations NW.

Do I need to register for MLK Weekend events?
No registration is required for worship services. They are free and open to the Temple and FAME communities.
Registration is required to volunteer at Operation Nightwatch and Sound Foundations NW.
Will services be streamed online?
Yes! Shabbat services at TDHS will be streamed on our streaming page and on Facebook; Sunday services at FAME will be streamed on Facebook.
