Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a weekend of events at Temple De Hirsch Sinai’s Seattle Campus and at First African Methodist Episcopal (FAME) Church.
Our theme for this year is “Where Do We Go From Here?” Look forward to sermons from Rabbi Daniel Weiner and Pastor Carey Anderson, and opportunities to gather and celebrate. All events are free and open to the community; see below for program details.

6:00 PM Worship service feat. Pastor Carey Anderson and the FAME Choir

10:00 AM Volunteer with FAME and TDHS to prepare a meal for our local soup kitchen, Operation Nightwatch. Limited availability. Ages 10+. Register here.

9:30 AM FAME Encounter Group and Temple community join together to discuss this year’s theme.

Monday, January 20
Garfield High School
11:00 AM Temple and FAME communities are invited to attend Seattle’s MLK March & Rally at Garfield High School.
FAQ’s
Do I need to register for MLK Weekend events?
No registration is required for worship services. They are free and open to the Temple and FAME communities.
Registration is required to volunteer at Operation Nightwatch. Register here.
Must be age 10 or older to participate and be accompanied by an adult.
Will services be streamed online?
Yes! Shabbat services at TDHS will be streamed on our streaming page and on Facebook; Sunday services at FAME will be streamed on Facebook.
Will there be a place to meet up before heading over to the MLK March & Rally?
This year, we will not be meeting ahead of time. But feel free to attend with a group of your own!
