Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a weekend of events at Temple De Hirsch Sinai’s Seattle Campus and at First African Methodist Episcopal (FAME) Church.
Our theme for this year is “Barriers, Bridges and Building a Beloved Community.” Look forward to sermons from Rabbi Daniel Weiner and Pastor Carey Anderson, and many opportunities to gather and celebrate. All events are free and open to the community; see below for program details.
Due to inclement weather, our Tiny Home Painting volunteer event at Sound Foundations NW has been cancelled. We look forward to offering this opportunity to the Temple and FAME communities again soon!

9:30 AM FAME Encounter Group and Temple community join together for a discussion of this year’s theme.

Monday, January 15
Garfield High School
11:00 AM Temple and FAME communities are invited to attend Seattle’s MLK March & Rally at Garfield High School.
The indoor rally will start around 11:00 AM, and the march will take place around 12:30 PM. We will gather at 12:30 PM at the flag poles right off of 23rd Ave and march together as a community. Look for the TDHS banner.

Do I need to register for MLK Weekend events?
No registration required – all worship services are free and open to the Temple and FAME communities.
Will services be streamed online?
Yes! Shabbat services at TDHS will be streamed on our streaming page and on Facebook; Sunday services at FAME will be streamed on Facebook.
