Jewish overnight camp is FUN and an integral component in building and strengthening a young person’s Jewish identity.
URJ Camp Kalsman
Many kids from Temple attend URJ Camp Kalsman, the regional Reform Jewish summer camp, which is located on 300 beautiful acres an hour north of Seattle in Arlington.
Camp Kalsman offers a great balance of education and recreation, teaching campers new skills and honing existing ones in athletic, aquatic, artistic, and nature programs. The Camp is committed to six core values: friendship, kehilah kedoshah (sacred community), Reform Jewish identity, chesed (kindness), connection to Israel, and our relationship to teva (nature).
Temple’s rabbis and staff (many of whom are former Jewish campers!) frequently visit and serve as faculty, enriching relationships during the summer and beyond.
Camp Kesher
For many Jewish families in the Pacific Northwest, visiting Camp Kesher is an annual tradition. Each year during Labor Day Weekend, Camp Kesher welcomes campers of all ages for four days of fun-filled Jewish experiences.
Camp Kesher offers diverse programming for children, teens, and adults, ranging from recreational activities and art classes to scholar-in-residence workshops and worship services. Singles, couples and families of all levels of Jewish knowledge and commitment are welcome.

There are several options for Jewish camp experiences in the Pacific Northwest! Children and teens can explore, learn, and dream at Camp Solomon Schechter, BB Camp, and at weekly day camps at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island.
Each provides an immersive experience in Jewish values while creating friendships that last a lifetime.
Camp Scholarships
The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle believes that every kid who wants to attend a Jewish summer camp should do so. The Federation partners with local camps and synagogues to provide need-based camp scholarships.
