Adult Hebrew

Understand the deeper significance of blessings, prayers and biblical texts. Students will acquire intermediate reading and decoding skills in addition to learning what the words mean. The course emphasizes Classical Hebrew, the language of biblical and liturgical texts.

Hebrew 1: Kitah Aleph

Thursday Evenings | 7:00 – 8:00pm | January 10 – March 28 | Seattle Campus

Prerequisite: NONE, Textbook will be provided.

Cost: $120 members, $136 community

Hebrew 2: Kitah Bet and beyond

For those who have taken Aleph (Hebrew 1) and are ready to move on to next steps in understanding Hebrew, this is the class for you. Offered in response to expressed interest.

Cafe Ivrit – Hebrew Coffee House

Join Barak Derin, Temple’s Shaliach, and your fellow congregants for this informational schmooze time each week on Wednesdays and Thursdays during Hebrew school. We’ll learn a Hebrew word of the day, talk about current events, and enjoy one another’s company. All are welcome, and coffee and snacks will be served! Questions?
