Endless Opportunities: Transforming a Family Story into Fiction

September 7 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

In his novel, The Dragontail Buttonhole, Curtis shares the story of a young Czech family’s love and resilience on a dangerous and chaotic journey across Europe as they flee Nazi-occupied Prague on the eve of WWII. He will read an excerpt from his book and we will use it as a case study of how one can turn family memoirs into historical fiction.
