Connecting Families with Young Children

Temple De Hirsch Sinai proudly offers opportunities for fun, meaningful Jewish experiences for families with at least one child age seven or younger. Events and gatherings take place on both our Bellevue and Seattle campuses as well as out in the city at parks, museums, and community centers, too. All are welcome to join us, whether you’re a Temple member, JRM (Jennifer Rosen Meade) Preschool family, or still looking around. Check back often to see new events or gatherings added to our calendar.

If you have questions or would like to get involved, contact Shannon Solomon, our Early Childhood Education Director:

Mark your calendars - fun events are right around the corner!

Tot Shabbat

Every Friday, 11:00 am – 11:30am, Bellevue Campus

We invite you to join JRM Preschool and Temple’s rabbis for Tot Shabbat in the Bellevue Sanctuary. Occurs most Fridays when the JRM Preschool is in session; please check the web calendar for details. We’ll sing, tell stories, and celebrate. Everyone is welcome!

Shabbat Junior

Third Fridays, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Bellevue Campus

Join us in welcoming Shabbat family-style! This service is geared toward families with children in elementary school and younger, and will include singing, storytelling, and movement. We’ll begin the evening with activities and dinner, and then celebrate Shabbat in community. Although the service will primarily be focused on the younger crowd, everyone is of course welcome!

Are you or someone you know expecting a new addition to the family? Temple has partnered with PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) to offer groups to the Jewish community. Join daytime and evening groups for families with newborns, at both our Seattle and Bellevue campuses. Contact Shannon for more details!
