Connecting Families with Young Children

Temple De Hirsch Sinai proudly offers opportunities for fun, meaningful Jewish experiences for families with at least one child age seven or younger. Events and gatherings take place on both our Bellevue and Seattle campuses as well as out in the city at parks, museums, and community centers, too. All are welcome to join us, whether you’re a Temple member, JRM (Jennifer Rosen Meade) Preschool family, or still looking around. Shabbat in the Park & Evening Playdates
Area A, Luther Burbank Park, Mercer Island
5:30pm preneg, 6pm service

Dates: July 14, July 28, August 4, August 18

Join the TDHS community for a festive and casual Friday night Shabbat service, then stick around for a park playdate afterward! Feel free to bring dinner and turn it into a picnic!

Village Community Shabbat
Seattle Campus Youth Lounge
10-11am, second Saturday of the month

Monthly opportunities to play, learn, pray and connect as a family. Each Shabbat service has a specific theme on which we’ll focus our learning and celebration! These are on the second Saturday of every month, and take place at 10 AM in the Temple De Hirsch Sinai Seattle Youth Lounge.

Park Playdates

These summer park playdates are a casual way to get to know other families! JRM Preschool and Village staff will be at the park with activities, so bring lunch or dinner and hang out as long as you can!

  • Tuesday, August 8 – Downtown Park, Bellevue, 10:30-11:30am
  • Thursday, August 10 – Green Lake Playground, Seattle, 10:30-11:30am

Are you or someone you know expecting a new addition to the family? Temple has partnered with PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) to offer groups to the Jewish community. This fall we are planning to hold daytime and evening groups for families with newborns, at both our Seattle and Bellevue campuses.
